A couple months ago, I spud a rod bearing. Long (and boring) story short, after months of debating and trying to figure out what to do, I've decided to bite the bullet and have my engine professionally worked on. My question is, with a $3000 budget in mind, what should I have him do while it's out that would benefit performance most?
So far I've got down:
- Fix the crankshaft
- All new rod bearings
- New foged connecting rods
To do the work above, he quoted me about $900. What I'm thinking about doing with the rest is getting my hood fixed (i.e. a new hood) and getting a GM Supercharged for my car. Would this be my best bet as far as performance goes for my car?
Also, what I've already got done:
- New upper/lower motor mounts
- New transmission mounts
- B&M Short Throw
- Upper strut supports in front & back
- Intake
Any thoughts or advise on my situation would be appreciated.

should of got a junkyard engine with low miles and turbo for 3gs
y turbo a stock engine when hes getting forged components stronger than stock installed... kinda dumb if u ask me to get a all stock already beat the crap out of engine and enhance it ied wrather enhance a stronger engine
