well i belive i got a stock car door lock and trunk popper.. dont most when u lock the car beep the horn and make the lights flash? cause mine unlocks/locks the dorrs and opens my trunk but no sounds no lights nothign to indacate it is doing so... is this normal is what i am getting to i guess.. or is somethign broke
my brother has a 99 cav and his doesn't beep flash headlights or anything to give any signal that u are unlocking or locking etc.
What you describe seems normal for the 97. In my 2000 i have the headlight flashing when i unlock or lock etc. They must have added that feature in 2000

it is not bad jsut slightly annoying lol.. never know if ur doors lock or not
