fuel problems

Lets start off by saying thanks in advaced...

I have a 1999 z24 with some issues, First I have a slight smoke coming from the tail pipe. The color is white with a slight blueish mixed in.
My air fuel gauge shows that I am way to rich when at a idle and then it goes all way to lean at half or full throttle.

I will add later to this dilema if and when somebody answers this question....

I agree. White smoke usually means you're burning collant. Not fun.

White smoke = collant blue smoke = oil.

Now to chime in the head gasket is what I am leaning to,but dad says it's the fuel system. I have a guy telling me to run one stage hotter plugs.

Now on to the skinny.. The motor was rebuilt with high comp pistons and etc. I wasn't around when this was done. So I don't know if a stock gasket was used.
Any suggestion on what kind of head gasket to use.?

Still waiting for Monday to come I only have about 2000 miles on this motor..

This is weird the problem dissappered no smoke. Took the car out for a little spin down the road.
Temp gauge showing it's at around the 160-180 range. But i had a slight muffled backfire coming around the
back half of the car. Didn't do it alot After I went to the gas station and filled up fresh gas.

Could it be that the car had some water in the gas?
