This is a new problem that happened over a week's time. My fluid reservoir was low on anti-freeze, so I filled it with Prestone's universal anti-freeze (it was supposed to be good for any make car). Over the past weekend I noticed that the car had developed a leak. I traced it to the radiator hose (driver's side-top), and changed it. Now I am noticing that water is still leaking from the car. I collected a few drops and it seemed like fresh (clear) water. I was thinking that it was snow, but the water (or something) has been dripping since last night.
Its seems to be flowing near the washer fluid bottle from the bottom. Any ideas....I'll have to bring it in to the mechanic to look at it tomorrow, but I want to know what I might be in for. The car isn't overheating and I thought maybe it was the radiator, but I don't see anti-freeze or water coming from the radiator or the hose connections. Not sure what's wrong now.
Could be that your exhaust might have a leak somewhere. Evaporation = water
Its a remote possibility; I have a sneaky hunch that it could be my radiator....the ribbed section of the tank to the left. I was told that water condenses in this section, and that if its plastic eventually it will crack, and you could have (clear) water leaking from that section. I honestly could not think of any other place it could've been occuring except from either the radiator or a hose.
