Is there a sensor that can be used to trick the ecu into reading pressure in the A/C lines, when the entire A/C system is removed? I plan on tube cuting the portion where the sensor attached itself and where it had a valve stem to add air, then welding the two ends, later to add 100psi of air in it. Would that work? I believe that A/C pressure plays a role in emissions testing in IL.
^^ no it doesn't. It only checks the pressure of the system to see when the compressor needs to be turned off.
Well took the emissions test today, PASSED!, I guess unless the A/C is turned on, the codes dont show. Hell in Chicago it gets really hot maybe 4 times during the 3 months of summer, either way i pound with the windows fully open. 95 degrees and up, I carry a gallon of frozen water for my self, as for my cavy it has a fan override plus the extractor hood, so there's complaints from it.
