Car wont start.....computer prob?

Ok I have a 95 Cavi 2.2L auto. I just got the car a few days ago from the car lot I work at. They are gonna get it fixed for me but I am still tryin to figure out what it might be.
I get in the car at my brothers shop the other day and it wont start. Its turning over but I dont hear the fuel pump cut on and its not getting any spark. We hooked up the scanner to it and its reading a theft system code, saying the car is armed.
Well, I came on here and searched and found the r-code reset and did that. And even tried it 3 times and it didnt work. The guys at the car lot called a lock specialist to come replace the passlock cylinder and program it. Heres the funny part. My car doesnt have a passlock style cylinder. Doesnt even have the wires for it. Just a regular style cylinder. I read on here that they supposedly didnt come out with the passlock system til 96. My car was made in march of 95.
It did this to me once on saturday. When it wouldnt start I noticed I didnt hear the fuel pump, then after playin with the key turning it off and on I finally heard it come on and it started. I thought maybe my fuel relay or pump might be goin out but didnt know for sure.
But since it did it again on Monday I cant get it to start no matter what I do.
So heres the breakdown:
-Turning over
-No spark
-Fuel pump not coming on
-Theft lock code, but no passlock ignition.

Plus there is either no theftlock bulb in my cluster or the bulb blown but there is a spot for it in the cluster, I can see it.

I just cant understand if it doesnt have the passlock system why is it throwing the theft code??? Could it be a problem with the computer??
If anyone can be of any help please let me know what you think it might be or if you have had a similar problem.
Thanks in advance.

1st, your car does not have a theft system. The cluster is capable of having one and will set codes because its not there, but the Engine computer isn't capable...
So that's not your problem.

2nd, the time you "played with the key" is probably unrelated. These cars are known for burning up ignition switches and there was a recall about it. In that instance, it was probably only fortelling of an ignition switch failure soon.

But since the pump comes on, the PCM/ignition system is getting power.
On these cars, the ignittion system can work independantly of the PCM, so diagnosis of a no start has to begin there.
Its most likey that the ignition module or crank sensor has failed.
Pull a plug wire and check for spark while it cranks. If none, its one of those 2 things.

Fuel pump does NOT come on. And I already said it has no spark. We have tested that.

I have no idea how I mis-read that

check for bad ignition switch... and has it had the recall done?

Its not likely to be a PCM issue because it would still have spark.
BOth systems could have lost power though... fuse or igntion switch.

Turns out it was an electrical problem with the ignition switch. Shes all fixed now.
Thanks for the help.
