Are they interchangeable or not?
my 95 needed a new head and i have a 01 parts car so i took the head off of it and it bolts up just fine and everything seems to line up but the coolant port is apparently smaller on the 01 head.
anyone done this swap before and any info?
thank you for any help

the coolant flow direction changed, among other things. im not sure, but i dont think its as easy as just bolting it up.

No they will not reasonably interchange. Besides there would be nothing significant to be gained doing such a swap.
Just get a head from any '94-'97 2.2L motor, have it checked by a competent machine shop and install it with new head gasket set and new head bolts. Always use new head bolts, they use torque-to-yeild bolts, which means they must streatch a certain amount to seal the head properly, otherwise you'll be doing another headgasket within a year or so.
