Alright I have two problems with two of my cars.
FIRST CAR-1997 Grand Am SE AUTO 2.4
I just rebuilt the motor and did not swap the thermostats, I am afraid it is stuck close because I am getting a leak and there does not seem to be coolant mixing and my coolant light stays on. I can find the leak yet but I am assuming the thermostat. The bltch is that the car is an auto, and I totally forgot that it is hard to do. All my other cars are 5 speeds so changing a thermostat was cake, how do I get around the stupid auto tranny, any pointers.
SECOND CAR- 1996 2.4 Cavalier 5 Speed, Leaking Oil
Right now it is single digits outside (F- NY) and I can see that the car is leaking from the back side of the motor which does not make sense. I could see the front right side because of the timing chain but not the back of the engine from under the header. Any ides why I could be leaking from there? I just replaced the HG on that in summer so dont see why it would leak oil, help me out.
Help I hate 2.4s and winter!
