hey guys i need help i have a 98 2.2l cav and it wont start...i started it earlier this morning to let it warm up and went to the store and came back worked fine.....just about and hour ago i went out and i turned the key and it just makes a clicking noise....the battery has power...the fuel pump works...its just doesn`t start and i noticed when i kept trying the battery started to foam!!! can you guys help...thanks
Sounds to me you got, A dead cel in youre battery, How long is youre battery?
If the battery starts to foam, as in leaking it is time for a new one.
- 2004 Cavalier - 124k, owned since new
Well if its foaming out by the caps, that means it HOT, boiling over.
If its foaming anywhere else, then its what Rob S said.
- Starter fried
- Battery fried/ Dead cell
- Over charging alt (could have killed battery)
- Bad ground
Hope it helps...
...They just HATE it when you ...POINT - LAUGH - then DRIVE OFF AND AWAY-!...
