OK. The other day I got into my car and turned the key but accidentally let go before the car started. Now, ever since this, the car wont start at all. I thought it was the battery dead but the lights on the inside of the car come on when the doors open and it seems ok but I honestly am not sure. I turn the key now and it just turns and turns but wont turn over and actually start. Its seems like it's going to every now and then but never does. Is it the starter? the battery? someone help me out please Thanks
Also, are the starters on cavi's easy to change or is it a "shop" job?
Rob, car batteries cannot stand cold weather ...
Suspect that yours is old and needs replacing even though it puts out a little power...
Have a friend take you someplace where they test and sell new batteries...
Let us know...
After trying to start it a few times Im also kind of nervous that I may have flooded it. Best way of dealing with that incase thats the case? Thanks
Rob, gasoling/air mix in a flooded engine will seep past the piston rings after a short period ...
(Maybe an hour.)
Have that battery tested, then let all of us know....
Crossed fingers...
Also, if the throttle is opened more than 70 % and engine speed is less than 600 RPM the ECM shuts off the fuel supply.
Ease up on the the gas pedal until the throttle position is les than 70% and fuel delivery is restored.
So, really, it works in a similar way to flooring the gas pedal on a "carburettored" engine
