headlights or maybe a drl prob

heres my problem i have a 99 z24 and about 1 year ago i disconnected the brights on my headlights (i rarely use the brights) to get rid of the drls. somehow it worked everything worked fine but i always had that annoying light on the dash. but i dealt with it now after a year something changed now the drivers side is the onlly one that works. so i thought hell just reconnect the brights. it kinda worked but the passenger side is way dimmer than the drivers side plus the drls are always on.i havent really checked anything cause its been cold outside an ive decided to rely on other transportation but seeing as i go to work when its dark an come home when its dark(pus i dont want a ticket) i thought id come here an ask maybe a few ideas will send me in the right direction.thanks

check fuses?

Also there is a easy way to disable your DRLs by removing your dash and finding the correct wire in the cluster wire loom, you just cut that and cap it off so it dont short out to anything and your done.
as for ur headlight problem you might want to check ur fuses and get back to us
being that u didnt mention youve done any sort of headlight swap that shouldnt be your problem, just sounds like a simple fuse being blown.

don't forget to check the wiring harness under the battery tray, it could be rotting away on you as well
