my highbeam portion of the headlight switch as been out for about a good two months now without a service light... just recently it has been going on whenever i start the car without the headlights or parking lights on... so if i start the car with the parking lights on.. and leave them on, no service light, but the second i turn them off completely... the light goes on most of the time... I'm pretty sure it's not the DRL's, because the DRL light on the cluster does not flash and set the service lgiht to turn on.....

BTW it's a 02 cav with cruise (DRL deactivated)



any suggestions to this issues would be helpful

I am gussing if you replace the headlight switch, Youre problem would go away. Also does youre low beams and high beams work? If so I am pretty sure the problem is with the headlight switch.

yeah my low beams and parking lights work... but not my highbeams... my guess might be either the switch or the DRL relay...

You could try replacing youre headlight bulbs, Maybe that might correct the problem.
