Ok i just got my 96 sunfire convert and the steering is not right and i'm hopeing someone can help!! If i turn the wheel to the right everthing works just fine but when i turn it to the left it's like i have no power steering whats going on??? Please help

Is there any noises to be heard, grinding or sqeeling?. I would also check the level of power steering fluid is, It seems like you could have a problem with youre rack & pinion steering assembly, Could also check to see if youre front end tie Rods & balljoints have been greased, That could also cause issues, I am pretty sure you try those trouble shoots, It will narrrow down youre problem to be fixed.

could also be a seal in the R/P assy. mine broke and there was a squel when you would turn one way, got air in it...

I like all the input and i will have to see if there is a recall at all but i will say there is no noise when i turn the wheel its just like there is now power steering to the the left side....
