I have a '97 cavalier 2.2 OHV and the motor is squeeking. When I start the car the belt is squeeking constantly. Even after the motor is warmed up it still squeeks. I am almost certain it isn't the belt because the belt was just replaced about a month ago. I cannot pin point exactly where it is, but I believe the squeek is coming from the water pump. My question is the pulley on the water pump gone sour? And if so, is it easily replacable without a huge price tag? Thanks in advance.

could be youre belt tensioner, Also if you could spray some grafite silicone spray to see if it stops. If that doesnt help you out, Could look at water pump pulley or water pump,
