hey question for ya guys. got a red top in my cavi right now. i have accidently deep cycled it a few times in the past year leaving my headlights on, well i parked it in the garage for 2 weeks while i was out of town and then the weather got nasty and i didnt want to bring her out of the garage. well it got up to 50 today yesterday in wisconsin and i went to pop the doors and there was no power. when i left town the alarm was off and the lights and everything else were turned off too. just wondering if the battery is shot, if thats the case i will just eat the 188.00 for a yellow top and be done with it. thanks for any help guys

Try charging the battery - red tops aren't meant for deep cycle either.

I went through this 3 times this year with my red top lol.. Lucky my friend Trey let me borrow his marine deep cycle battery charger.. Hopefully you can find one of those.. Autozone or Advanced cant do it for ya, I found that out real quick.. My battery was out of the car(literally) thats why it went dead for some reason..

Good luck.

Hey, was the garage heated that you parked the car in? If not and it got really cold from the weather that is prob all that is wrong with it. Cold weather will kill a battery if it sets for very long.

In case this helps

As WHITECAVY said, apparently you need a Constant Voltage Charger.

If it's set to 13.8 volts with a max current of 1 amp you can leave it on permanently.

As long as it's constant voltage, up to 15 volts max.

It's all in the link
