You could have a problem with youre air bag sensor in the front bumper area, Could be wearing out.
really?

Could be a number of things. The system is finding some sort of fault in the system. Like suggested. A crash sensor. IIRC it will take an impact registered on more than one crash sensor (there should be at least 2 of them on the system) in order for the airbags to deploy. (kind of a failsafe) If only one registers a crash, it'll recognize it as a bad sensor.
The dealership will have a tool that can read from the airbag system. It will tell them what's coming up, and probably what HAS come up in the recent past. Maybe there's an odd chance that your car is still under warranty?
I had the same problem. I had to buy a new sensor/computer thing (I really have no clue what it is) that is located under the pasanger seat.
my 04 does the same thing. i scanned it one time and it said something about low resistance of the passanger side loop. my obd 2 scanner can scan all gm code from the BCM to the radio. does anyone know where this loop can be?

New Picture comming this summer.
check the connection on the airbag module under the passenger seat. I had this happen recently. It was because I had my passenger seat out recently and had sat on the module and pulled the connection out.

Just finished the scan and this is what i got:
B0016: RF/Passenger frontal deployment loop (single stage or stage 1) resistance low
does anyone where where i can find this loop and check the wiring?
