Head Unit Wires

My factory head unit was replaced by a Panasonic head unit, and now i have just recently went to re install a Pioneer head unit, and it just so happend that WalMart didnt have an adapter for my car, so i was jsut wondering if anyone knew what wires got connected, that i could connect them from the adapter from the car, to the adapter that came with my CD palyer..if you can please give me like a diagram or type something out, im looking to install it tomm. sometime! thanks

all you need is a cheap circuit tester and a nine volt battery. look for wires with matching colors like red and red w/black stripe. their should be four. those are your speaker wires. use the nine volt by touching the two matching color speakers wires on the 9 volt. this will make the speaker pop, that tells you which speaker those wires go to. after you figure out the speaker wires there should only be 3 wires left. use the circuit tester and check the 3 wires. with the car off only one should light up.thats your constant. push that to the side and click you key to accessory. check the last 2 wires. one should set the light off. thats your other power wire(can't remember what it's called, kinda tired, gotta cold.)the last wire is your ground. now either go online and look up the wiring for a pioneer, or it might have the diagram in the casing. btw this thread should be in audio & electronics.

Orange Black - 12+
Black - Gnd
Yellow - Ign

Yellow/Brown - Left Rear
Light/Dark Green - Right Front
Light/Dark Blue - Right Rear
Gray/Tan - Left Front

Brown - Dimmer Signal
Gray - Dimmer Power
Light Green - Steering Wheel Controls
Light Green w/ White - VSS Input on newer Cavys only
