if the pics are actually from the cd its legit... ive had access to the service manuals and they looked like that!
What concerns me is that he claims the DVD covers all 98-05 GM vehicles. I have the 04 J-body manuals and they are BIG books. I find it hard to believe that one DVD is going to address all models for eight years and that you get all that for $25. Plus he claims it is interactive which would require even more data space. On the other hand, its a lot cheaper than the books I bought for $135, so maybe it's worth a shot. He might even let you return it if you were dissatisfied. You could send him a message asking what is his return policy.

I have 2000 page books with lots of images in PDF format that don't take more than 50 megs. a dvd can more than fit all those cars and years. I have the Tracker service manuals and they are HUGE books. The price seems low tho for all that information.

I'd love to find a place to download these manuals. Possibly torrent site or something.

Doh, I go to buy it... and the guy isn't a seller on Ebay anymore
Guess they were illegal copies after all!!!
Anyone know a place to get the legititmate copies of this? I know Helm sells the paper copies.... but I'd like the electronic one for ease of use... and having ALL the late-model cars as well

i borrow mine from the local library ... they have GM service manuals like my 2001 J but then again I live in Oshawa but there could be a chance your library might have some.
Dang if you check out his feedback, he was selling lots of manuals on CD for lots of different cars at $25 a pop. I bet he was making a killing.

Sold 2/2/05
Bah, I wish you would have bought it. We could have all chipped in a couple dollars and you could have sent us out copies...lol
I finally happened on a copy... was listed on Ebay as an original copy, limited to Buick Park Avenue for 98-00... but when I loaded it onto the laptop, lo and behold it was the full GM Techline service information, SI 2004.19 as of March 2005... so... finally got my hands on one
But it wasn't an original copy after all... it was a copy on a Verbatim inkjet printable DVD made up to LOOK like an original copy. Ah well... got what I needed
PS. GM lawyers, go hunt the Ebay fraudster down... i'm just a curious end user
there used to be a site that had it hosted but it got taken down
im sure there is somewhere to snag it

I may run 18s, but I can do your taxes in 10 seconds flat.
The DVD itself is 4 gigs in size... so it would be a hell of a download

You have to decompress the info from the DVD onto your hard drive, then install it.. but you can delete the decompressed info after installation to save a bit of space. I think it took 10 gigs on my laptop... but it's all there - 98 thru 05 GM stuff, even Hummer and CNG Cavalier..
Going to be very useful in my L67 swap
nah gm pdf'd all of um iirc...it was great...personally i dotn care, i ahev the paper version so w/e

JBO lube - they would never have enough in stock and we'd never see RodimusPrime again
It's exactly the same thing as you're familiar with... but instead of hosted somewhere, it's on my hard drive
I used to use it when it was 'available' online... if you're talking about the si2kser username or something like that, then I was using it too
man i love to get a copy!!!
any chance you send me one??? lol
Hmmm, well... it's probably illegal for me to make copies of this already made copy
