Hi,

Got back from vacation after a week - tried to start my Cav (which had not been run all week) but it just makes a clicking sound. All lights work, horn works, A/C comes on and radio works.

I hooked up my jump box and it started right up. Left car off for about an hour and would not restart.

Hooked up the jump box, started fine, went to a restaurant for an hour or so, car started normally.

Would not start today, used jump box, drove to pool - would not start an hour and a half later (used jump box to get home)

got home, turned car off and on normally 3 times in a row. Have no idea if it will start tomorrow.


Any ideas? The weird thing is that the battery seems fine, just maybe not quite enough juice for the starter?

alternator.. i have one in my garage if you want it ill sell it for cheap let me know

yeah can't just say its the alternator..? it could be the batt not taking a charge i would have the batt tested than look into a alt

Just hook a multi meter while the car is idling, See if the alt is charging, If not battery may need replacing.
