Tanks - no luck.
I'm pulling a gastank from the local u-pull-it for a 1999 Z/24 - what years can I grab that directly bolt up?
One website says '99-'01, another '98-'00.
P/N should be GM-39B.

Sunfire: 1999

Why is the Sunfire listed as only 1999?

So what cars can I pull from? This yard focuses on older models.

All the J and N bodies 95 up have the same tank shape. The materials they're made of changed, and little things here and there. If you get a different year it will probably be slightly different, but you should be able to get it in with a big enough hammer. All recent GM smaller cars use the same style pump (different units for each car, but it's all attachs the same way).
Eh, I don't think I want to bang on a used gas tank with a hammer to get it to fit, but thanks for the pump info.
What was the change from the GM-39 to the GM-39B?

I don't know different part numbers. I do know that some tanks were made entirely from metal, and other were made of both metal and plastics. The hammer thing was a joke.
