I was driving today. and my low coolant like came on.. I pulled over and check and the tank is full. so i kept on driving and just watched the heat gauge and it stayed normal. i been driving for 4 or 5 days with it on, and everything is good. what could cause this? it's not going out just steady on. thanks alot

I think the low coolant sensor is in the radiator. Wait until the car is cooled off, pop off the cap and see how much coolant is in the radiator. If it's full up to the brim, your low coolant sensor is bad. If it's not, fill it up and see about getting a new cap.

theres a plug at the bottom of the tank. pull it and clean it off. it might just be dirty

Stop giving wrong information. 2000 don't have a radiator cap.

could be 1 of a few things coolant level could be low in the resviior unit, You should be able to tell on the side of the resivor tank it will tell if its full in (Hot) temp Or (Cold)Temp, Then the other thing could have a corroded temp level sensor. A good cooling system flush could correct the problem, If not done yet.
Good Luck
The coolant level sensor sits in the reservoir tank. It's a float that contains a permanent magnet. When the float passes a magnetic switch it closes the contacts on the switch. The float tends to stick in its guides after some years.
To fix - remove reservoir tank - easy. Flush the tank out with a garden hose and shake the tank. This will free up the float. Replace tank.
ya bang on the damn tank with a screw driver it should turn off..

My mistake, worked on too many cars recently and got them confused.

the good ole screwdriver and tank works great for months. Then you need to remove tank clean thourhly and replace sensor. But for now a few good taps on the tank should work. To figure out where to tap, looking from the from of the car you should see 2 wires running into the res tank at the front right corner, Thats where the sensor is.
