I have a 97 Cavy with 2.2/4spd automatic.
About 8 months ago the CEL came on. I had the code read at Autozone, the error was evap system. I replaced the gas cap (twice!), but the light still is on. A friend suggested that it might be the solenoid that is attached on top of the carbon canister.
I've (visually) checked the lines running to and from the carbon can, they look OK. I figure so long as the part isn't too much $$'s, it's worth a shot.
Does anyone have the part number for the solenoid?
