Alright guys, just got my car scanned on a tech 2 scanner.. Im getting the following codes
p0300- engine timing\engine misfire on all 4 cylinders under 2000 rpm.
Above 2000 the car runs fine.
I just had the cover over and RE set the cams and crankshaft to TDC. All the dots line up and everything.. How else can my engine be out of time if all the dots are lined up?
I have the 2.3 ho intake and exhaust cams in there.. With the people that have done that swap I know they just set the timing and start up and go.. Im not sure if those make a difference or not?
Can somebody else help me out with this before I have to call GM and schedule my car in there?

Well I called GM and I told them what the problem was.. They advised me to check the vacume hose on the MAP sensor, see if it has a hole in it. So somone is doin that now for me.
Also, since I have the 2.3 TB, should I have the 2.3 IAC sensor as well.? I think I got the 2.4 one on there.. The gm manual says those things are part specific, meaning Ill need the 2.3 one..

Yes on the 2.3L IAC, its TB Specific, the 2.4's wont work (completely different designed pindle)

You swapped to a 2.4.
The timing is only bad under 2000rpm. But physically everything is lined up. So, perhaps the ECU doesnt know the position of things at some engine speeds.
Crank Angle Sensor Error. I'd replace the crankshaft sensor. Then you'll have to have it hooked back up to the Tech2 to have a CASE learn done to it. Which, is a requirement after you change a crank sensor.
^^^sounds like thats what you should do david....when I was looking around on the tech2 I noticed that cas learn.....

Yeah ill do that once I change out my TB.
Its a long shot but Mat do you think you could get that Tech 2 out of the shop? lol I cant afford to have it towed there again lol

Im getting my new sensor today, hopefully gonna install it tonight.. Then drive it to the shop tomorrow.. Or Do you think I should just install the sensor at the shop and then do the case relearn?
I dont wanna install the new sensor, drive it and mess something up even more.

Alright dammit, can someone help me out here... I just had my crankshaft done with the relearn system after putting a brand new sensor in there.. THAT DIDNT WORK lol..
Now. I just replaced the CAMSHAFT sensor with a brand new one.. That didnt work!!!!
My timing marks all line up..
What else can cause my car to stall out under 1k RPM? I can not figure it out... Could it be a fuel issue?
Someone please help, im so frustrated with this whole project right now..

^^ That could be true.. I do have the 56mm HO tb and the 2.3 IAC valve.. Do you think I need a BRAND new one?

Ok, my brother just asked an engine mechanic and he said very well it could be the TPS sensor... So now since I have the 2.3 TB.. Looks like Ill try to get a brand new TPS and IAC valve... Ill keep this updated..

Mat, its at Trey's price.. Anyway im going to try to install my 2.4 TB and see if that fixes my problem.. I hope so because im running out of options.

You forget that all the GM stuff on his car he got cheap! GM discounts are the best!
Well I put my stock 2.4 TB with the 2.4 sensors and still no @!#$ luck.. I dont know what else to do about this car..
I am still NOT throwing any codes.. Im beginning to think its these secret cams..

Ok, my car is running now!!!! Mat came over and let me use is 2.3 TB and put it on my car.. It had to learn it for a quick second but she idles perfect now.. A little loopy but thats expected, the damn thing is staying started now, no dying...
I guess we need the early 90's 2.3 TB with the funny looking L shaped TPS sensor..
