Strut/spring causing steering issue?

Hey everyone....1998 Sunfire GT (2.4L) @ 238,xxx kms. I was wondering, have been having a problem with the steering, car drifts alot, and even a slight bump causes the car to sway to one side or another...vibration in the steering wheel over 80kph. Mechanic says the front end is tight, no problems with the balljoints or bearings...

but i noticed the other day, that all sides of the car "bounce" when pushed except the passenger front side, when moving it up and down, it doesnt at all....just sits there, all 3 other sides bounce and return to normal after about 2 cycles..im no expert but i guess that means a spring or strut is bad? could that be causing my steering problems? or is it just another issue now?
