do you hear the click when you push on the steering wheel?

if you do, check the connection of the horn itself and or the fuse too.

*shrug* I dunno, I don't use my horn. I just keep the sunroof open and give people the finger.

Hey Kurt,
My 98 z24's horn just quit also. I don't know if you have fixed it, and I don't know if anyone else has found a problem and posted it, but I just wanted to let you now that you're not the only on. Cool, well if more info is avaliable, it is surely appreciated. Thank You.

My 98 Z24 horn doesn't work either...

I do hear the click...

I've never been too worried about it though, so I never really looked into fixing the problem...

Our horns are junk. I am getting ready to replace my 2nd defective one. Seems they only last about 25,000 miles.

My horn is also not working - Any suggestions if I don't hear the click? (and I am familiar with the click from previous times that my horn hasn't worked).

My wife's stopped working in her 01 LS. I looked into it and discovered the wiring harness and plug had MELTED right where it meets the horn assembly.

Not sure what that was about.

So I pulled one off of a junkyard car and spliced it in, and now it works fine.

FWIW- the OEM horn GM uses on these cars are the same as the generic replacement horns you can get at AutoZone or Pep Boys. The name of the manufacturer was FIAA or something like that. Same exact unit.

the horn on my 98 sunfire works intermittently now....stopped working altogether one day, just had a clicking....found that the wire came loose....worked for abit, now sometimes it works and sometimes nothing at all, not even a click....i assume click means bad connection and no click means its dead LOL
