14.5 MPG man this just sucks. Any hint or do i just need to go to a dealer. If you are asking this is not any fast driving. Speed limit driving and not driven on the weekends. I basically go to work and back.

Dude, you need to check everything usually done in a tune up! Also, j-body cats tend to clog up over time. Maybe get a good scan tool and read all the sensor inputs to see if any of them are fawlty.
I have changed my Coil packs, IAT, Change spark plugs, Fuel Filter changed, Changed both Sensors about over a year ago. Had my exhaust done last year with a 2.5" highflow Cat. The mileage just seems to be getting worse and worse. It went from 19 to 17 to 15.
How does a cavalier get 24mpg on the highway?

i agree, i have the same problem.
fuel filter should be changed like twice a year, so change that. and your air filter wasn't on your list, so change that too.
when my air filter didn't get cleaned i went from 28mpg all the way down to 21mpg. all i did was clean my air filter and it went right back up.
also, i had a leak in my fuel pressure regulator a few months ago. i only smelled gas like once a week. one day i caught it while letting the car warm up for work. my MPG had dropped way down to 13. as soon as i changed that, it was fine. like i said though, i would have never guess cuz i didn't ever smell gas. but when the car got warmed up (normally by the time i got to the freeway), the pressure built up and the O-ring was bad so it leaked...
GO PATS!!!
Air filter has been changed when i changed my fuel filter it did not really help with the gas mileage but i could give it a shot.

hmm, this is odd, my fire got 25mpg no matter how i drove it...i'd check ur IDI cover. if u have the blakc one, get it replaced with the updated white one. might be the cause. also try seafoaming it. seafoam does wonders. and a tip, wen u pour half the bottle in the tank, do a high concentrate, meaning have about 5gallon of fuel to half can of seafoam. it did wonders to my car

With all else you've stated here, sounds like you're leaking gas somewhere. What're your sensors/PCM readouts while the engine's running?
Not sure what the sensors are reading. I may have to do to the dealer for that. This weekend changed the O2 sensor. Got some Seafoam and put it in the TB to clean it out and put some in the gas tank. We will see how that works out. It is frustrating to have a 4 cylinder car and get this sort of gas mileage.

Come on my truck gets about 16mpg all city....
Were you getting "19" mpg before your exhaust upgrade? Or was that w/ the exhaust upgrade. Even when I drove my cavy hard and raced it, I'd still get way above 20...

the 19mpg was with the exhaust upgrade. It seems as if the lower mileage started after i had my engine swapped but it is at an all time low now.

wen u swapped the engine, did u swap the PCM with it?
no because it was just the 2.4 engine no electrical parts were swapped

see ya!
still getting 15mpg used seafoam twice. Talked to the dealer unless they can keep the car unless there is a cell they have to spend time figureing out what is wrong. What eles could be causeing the problem. If this keeps up the car is going up for sale.
