well, i bought a code scanner recently, and i must say, with quite a twinge of buyers remorse. i bought the actron cp9135, but all it does is give the codes and their definitions. what scan tools are available to actually test sensors and get their readings? does anyone have one that does these things? i'm looking to get one but i dont want to be dissapointed again... thanks org

And for that matter, would it be more cost effective to get a laptop and diagnostic software that can test or read individual sensors?

Hey,
Unless you have an extre $ 4000 ( CAD ) lying around to buy a Tech II, be happy with the Actron!! It is an excellent product!! I bought a CP 9175, and am totally happy with it!!
I hope this helps.
Take care,
