I'm back & needs help again
Monday, May 29, 2006 9:34 PM
This a continuation of my unsolved problem,
( I encountered this problem for 3 days now so my J is stuck on my driveway and still can't figure out what wrong with her. Everytime i crank my car it just crank but won't start. And the rpm goes up the redline, the fan turns on.)

I change the crank sensor hoping it would solve it, but no luck. So me & my bro rented a code reader and got these codes;

1.) DTC P1629 Theft Deterrent System - Cranking Signal
2.) DTC P0342 Camshaft Position Sensor Circuit Low Input
3.) DTC P0335 CKP Sensor A Circuit Performance
4.) DTC P0562 System Voltage Low

I know you guys had encountered at least one of these codes before.

Can anybody share me thier knowledge and help me how to fix this problem pls.

All the help would be appreciated,

Al

It looks like half your codes say "low voltage" or "low input" Have you checked your battery yet?

Semper Fi SAINT. May you rest in peace.

Maybe after all that cranking the battery is low.

This morning i fully charge my battery and tried starting the car, i noticed that my theft light is flashing & stays on & still car isn't starting.

I don't know if my car is equiped w/ a PASSlock.
would this be a reason i'm getting this code: DTC P1629 Theft Deterrent System - Cranking Signal

how do i fix this prob is this passlock is my problem? i tried the passlock relearn procedure fron our library i kept waiting for more than 10 mins. & the theft light stopped flashing but still won't start.
