Car is in the garage for a week now Can't figured

So i figured i could be my coils packs because alot of my friend where telling me that ,so i replaced them and did the same thing

It only started to do that when it was damp out and them my car would work perfeckly on a dry day

now i does the same thing but the motor is not running good even if is nice out

my friend unplugged a spark plug wire when it was on and the car didn't even slow down or anything

my car sometime will start and somethimes not but when its starts it run rough

anyone as a idea???


my friend now says i could be my spark plugs

is a 97 sunfire with 187 000km on it

what about the wires them selves. Pull the damn plugs man lets see what they look like...

well i got the wires sheck and everything is fine

so my mecanic changed my module for my coils (thinking it would be that ,,But it woesen't)

Now i don't have my car for the week end ...dammmit!!!

and they say it is probably the timming sensor or timming module but not the timming chain

and also he found out that two cynlinders that r not working

Stupid car !!!!!!



common guys theres should somebody ont this site that would know ....??

Could be fouled plugs, but even if you did just change coil packs i wouldn't rule out a bad one... Has happened to me before. Could also be bad wires. When an ICM goes bad, it's done, no spark whatsoever.

You're mechanic is a dumb ass. A visual test CAN'T say if a wire is bad or not. Change those damn wires and the plugs. It's the FIRST thing to do. Not go right away with the coil pack. You got screwed right there.

So change the wires and the plugs first, then come back.

Problem fixed !!

Crank Sensor ....and the ignition module

Guy's share me some ideas,


Just curious, if you have a crank sensor problem or faulty ignition module did the check engine light came on ?
Cause' i think i'm experiencing the same problem right now.

Mine is if i try to start the car it cranks, but won't turn on, the Rpm goes to the redline. All other electrical stuff works though( lights, radio, power windows & everything) but the engine won't turn on.


Help me up pls. thank you.
