It keeps getting worst over time. I'm some guys said its......

1.) bad throwout bearing
2.) clutch release bearing

Any more help & ideas what cuases this problem?

i dont know if you have ever looked at a clutch before but if not i will explain this...
in the center of your clutch there is 8 springs if one of them broke and are floating around your tranny you will here a grinding type noise maybe even the noise you are hearing now... i wouldnt hold off fixing it becuz if there is anything floating in your tranny that shouldnt be you can screw up your flywheel.

So it goes away when you release the clutch.

I would say the throw out bearing is bad, which by the way is the same thing as the clutch release bearing just different two names, you obviously didnt know.

How long have you had that clutch whitebull88? I remember having an issue with a rattling sound with one of my 5 spd cavaliers I would have my cavalier in neutral as well. Mine was due from me beening aggressive when I was shifting from time to time of course my fault. Its common for clutches to have a few springs become loose, And cause this rattle sound, The only time I would get it to while idling with the clutch pressed, Once I replaced the with a new clutch kit, It was just like brand new no more rattle sounds.
