go full synthetic. You can even had normal oil to syntethic oil. It won't cause any problem.

After the first oil change with syntethic, the crap will be out.

it will clean EVERYTHING. it's good on old parts like lifters.

If the seals are leaking, it won't stop. You can do it at any mileage and go back and forth with dyno and synthetic oil.

this is true. My Bonneville from 60 ->120K went thru synthetic and dyno depending on how much money I had at the time.

hm good to know but i still feel really weird leaving my oil in my car for up to 15k miles at a time. What about that mobil 5000 is that some kind of blend or something i used it once. if i switch to full mobil synthetic should i change it at like 5k and then 7 etc work my way up or just dump it in and go 10-15k and be good to go?

I still do my oil change at 5000 km (3000 miles) because the filter is still the same. It gets dirty after 3000miles so I don't want to see it at 15k.

It's not because it's synthetic that is doesn't wear. If you use your synthetic for 15k miles, you're better using dyno oil.

I use M1 and change at 10,000 mile intervals.

The first change was at 95,000 miles on the odo.

The first change, the oil was dirty.

The second change the oil was a dark brown.

The third change...I don't know...I'll let you know!
