service light passenger headlight out no drls

The Bulb is always good both filaments work fine in another car. Passenger DRL and low beam are out high beams work. Driver side lights all work. When the relay clicks and flashes the lights to let you know something is wrong passenger side flashes then goes out. No voltage on passenger side when low or DRL should be on. I was told that was because low beams and drl run through the body control module and it might be bad. They by-passed it and it worked for a year now I need to get this fixed. I'm thinking about taking it to the dealer and letting them mess with it. Can I just swap the body control module with one from the junk yard if part# match? Please help?!

Don't quote me on this but i believe that if you find a BCM from the same car and year it should swap right in.

You didn't fill out your profile, but since you said you are using dual filament bulbs, I will assume this is an 00+.

Check for continuity between the orange wire in the passenger side plug and the passenger side headlight fuse. If it is bad, a very likely spot for it to corrode is in the plug under the battery tray.

I had this same problem and it turned out that this wire was corroded through. Would be worth checking before you drop some money on a new BCM.

My wife hasn't been driving at night lately so it wasn't a huge priority of mine. I'm going to try and figure it out this weekend though.

This sounds like a good place to start. If it's good I'm swapping the bcm with one from a junkyard if I can find one

i HIGHLY doubt your bcm is the problem. trust me on that one. you're gonna end up messing up more stuff if you swap out the bcm.
