car wont start
Thursday, March 23, 2006 11:40 AM
When I open my door, I hear a clicking sound, when I close it, sound goes away. When I turn the key all the way nothing happens except the service light flashes rapidly.

The lights do not work, nothing works. I checked the ground wires, the battery seems fine, except I can't remove the positive terminal since the bolt is warped.

Anybody help me? 02 cavy non-eco 5spd

I'd guess the battery or that positive terminal that is messed up.

You can't outrun the radio.

Did you check the battery cells & battery voltage?

it could be the starter if the engine isnt trying to kick over. i just had mine done and thats exactly what happened, flashing check engine light and such... new starter made it all better

I am not getting any lights working or anything. My friend has had a broken starter before and he still got lights working and door chimes etc...

I don't have a lot of money, or any, to spend $200 on a starter. If I do get a hold of $200 i want to spend that money to fix the problem. Not buy a starter and oops still doesnt work, now I got no money to fix the car.

And guess what, its doing this again, this time I can get it starting within 2 mins, but wtf is going on here. It goes from having no battery power (lights dont work, nothing besides a few lights on the guage cluster work) to the whole car working good.

I know I need a new starter since its not in the best condition right now, but it sounds like a bad ground wire or something. But if it was why does nothing work, then everything, and it keep doing this? After I run it, I start it up again, starts normal.
