exhaust leak, broken bolt removal
Saturday, March 11, 2006 7:27 AM
long story short, i was driving home last night and i hear this "airy" sound, and I'm like someones got a leak. a couple of blocks later I realizes it me. I get home and look under the car to see two blots holding the back section of the exhaust on instead of three. upon closer inspection this morning the head came off the bolt. I can stick my finger down in the hole but there are threads on the opposite side.

1. any suggestions as to ho to get the broken piece out? I was thinking i could dremmel a slot in it and remove it with a screwdriver but I'm sure it was impacted in at the factory.

2. I don't have the bolt, anybody know off the top of their head what size it is so I can get a replacement?

you could try drilling it out with a cobalt or titaniam drill bit. but there probaly hardened steel so it would be a real PITA.
