Hey all. I am trying to replace my old cooling fan motor with a brand new one. but the problem is, I can't get the fan assembly off the car! I know there is only one 10mm bolt connected near the bottom of the car and I removed that. It seems like everything else clips onto other parts and its usually removed by popping it out or pulling. But I can't seem to get it loose, I can only move the bottom part of the fan where the bolt is removed. Theres another tab at the top of the fan but it claws onto a metal surface, it can be removed by pushing up from the bottom of the fan, but it wouldn't come out either. I've tried everythign. I've spent at least 2 hours on this and finally, I'm here asking for help. Can someone Help!??

it should just pull straight up, and push it towards the motor, then its out...
i duno seems like something is stuck
well keep trying i believe mine popped off easy too.. maybe remove the 2 10mm radiator support bolts on the top so the whole unit is able to jiggle more there might be something else disabling it from moving
I am having the same problem as the original poster. I'm trying to replace the radiator fan motor and I can't get the fan assembly out. I removed the one bolt near the radiator drain plug but it just won't budge. Which way should I be pushing/pulling? Are there more bolts holding it in?
there is only one bolt, then a plastic tab that locks in place on the drivers side, above the halfway point on the fan housing. The fan housing hooks onto the rad at the top, so you do have to pull up and out. I found it easiest to pull the fan as far the the passenger side as possible, undo the two rad support bolts, then pull up and towards the engine. Thats how mine came out...
