coolant leak

I have a coolant leak out of a quick disconnect on my car. Its the hose that comes out of the heater core and goes into this pipe on the 2.4L Twin Cam. The dealership says the quick disconnects are not made anymore, and they said i should just put stop leak in my coolant system to stop the leak instead. they figured they would break more parts fixing the leak and figured it would cost me $500 or so to fix. Anyone have a better idea, i figured maybe just take the quick disconnect off and cleap the hose over the hard line.

Heres two pictures. its the hard line attached to the water pump, and the other line is a soft line that goes to the header core.

My hose is just pushed on with a worm gear clamp holding it there.

Its 3/4" hose btw, easy fix.
