PLease help.....

below are some messages i posted in jbok.org figured i'd post them here too for help... please help asap.... does this issue sound like a fuel pressure issue due to the fuel return line or my ICM is dead... i am guessing more on ICM side since the car wont even start now on the old coil packs or the new ones.... what do you all think......

ok guys please dont laugh at me but here it goes...

well 2 or so weeks ago i replaced my fuel pump right... well during the install i broke the return line off the pump well we fixed it buy putting a plastic tube you know the wire crimps with the metal in the middle of it well we pressed the metal out of it and used finger nail glue and glued that inside the hole and i glued it into the other side of the part that broke off and no leaks what so ever. it broke off on the very end of the pump not internally or nothig just snaped the line off the connector. well it ran perfectly for 3 weeks and now i had that ignition issue. well we pulled te plugs and they were coverd in gas so i KNOW were getting gas number 2 and number 3 didnt have as much gas on them though for some reason i cnat figure that out.... now i talked to brendan and he said it was the return line on the pump causing it.... does that sound right because nw the car wont run at all on the old coil packs and the new ones so that tells me the ICM is bad IMO..... what do you all think??? i just
hope to god hope i dont have to drop that damn tank again...... please let me know asap.....

the mis fire issue is below....

'll be damn if i started up my car this morning and it ran like poo with a flashing cel and the smells of raw gas out of the tail pipe........ Sad Sad Sad drove it to autozone and got the light checked and all it says was multiple cylinder misfires and my bro followed me there and said black smoke was coming from the exhaust when i got up to a dicent rpm.... i talked to a guy at the chevy dealer i called and talked to (i trust this guy hes good at what he does) said that when my fuel pump went out and went lean it fauled my plugs out... does this sound pretty accurate? my car ran perfectly all the way home from work this morning and i started it up at like 12 and its running like @!#$... seems like when my car hit 100k miles it started to die...

well plugs and wires didnt work...... going to try packs in the morning... wish me luck...

well the coil packs didnt work so i am replacing the ICM monday and i got the hook up on prices i love getting dealer parts at whole sale prices

basically so far i replaced the plugs, boots, and coil packs and now it wont even start..... before i changed the coil packs it would start but sound like its running on 2 cylinders... the old plugs 2 of them were a lil white but i figured that was when my fuel pump went out and cause dit to run lean becase i got a lean check engine light.... but the other 2 looked fine. so i changed them and the boots first and no go still ran like @!#$.... so i chantged the coil packs and it tried to fire for a few turns of the key but then it just turned and turned and didnt attempt to fire..... i put the stock packs back on and again no start.... so we pulled the plugs and they had gas on them and looked like they were firing all of them funny thing was 2 of the plugs had more gas on them than the other two.... so i dont know whats wrong....

First I'd start by recomending you replace the fuel line you broke installing the pump.
Then go from there. Also don't forget gasoline can disolve glue and turn it into a sort of jelly compound like stuff. Well if any of that glue was pumped up to the injectors they very well could be stuck open or at least not allowed to fully close.

Heres your "to do"list.
Replace the broken line.
make very sure no glue got into the tank and then your new pump.
on the safe side replace the fuel filter.
Check to see if the injectors are working right.

Good Luck

for the cat, I'm getting a Magnaflow 91035.
one of the guys in my club is having good luck with a Magnaflow XL1 series muffler. no raspiness at all, even without a resonator. I need to get a hold of him, because I'm thinking the J's muffler is a center/center setup, but I want to doublecheck his to see. the XL1 series doesn't come in a center/center configuration. I'm getting Pacesetter piping (cat to muffler) from one of the guys in my local club. so now it's researching the muffler.

the longer resonator you use, the quieter it's going to be. the biggest one I've heard of on a J is an 18" model.
