Hey Guys & Gals,
I have a 2000 Ponitca Sunfire, and am not sure if it is a SE or a GT. Where wouls I find out exactly what it is? ( VIN or... )

gt has the vin t engine (2.4L twin cam), different bumpers, dual exhaust, and badged sunfire gt on the side
um, that's all i can think of right now, and o yea, some se had the 2.4l
GT's have dual exhausts, and power everything...aswell as the 2.4L engine. 16" wheels (if still stock).

Thats what I thought, It has the skirts kit, ( below the doors etc... ) and the dual exhaust rear bumper.
I want to add duals hopefully in te spring. I cant find anything on Borlas site that shows that they have one. Want a nice deep throaty sounds, dont wanna sound like a ricer!!!

power everything eh? Mine's a GT and all I got was a sunroof
^^same with my friends GT his is a 99 also and it has power nothing just the sunroof and my 2001 SE has pw pl keyless entry remote trunk poper powersunroof and a alarm. his dont

mines a SE yours. Is silver to? my windows are geting tinted soon.
as far as i know, GT's have a differant front and rear bumper, 16" rims, dual exhaust, and was a 2 door.
as for engines, i have seen the 2200 and the 2.4 in GT fires.
2000-2002 the back bumbers are the same. the front bumbers are difforent. so are the sideskirts and the GT has duals and the SE has a muffler with 2 tips
The 2.4 was the ONLY engine available in the GT, while the SE could be ordered with either, however the 2.2OHV was far more common. The GT had different front bumper, rims, sideskirts, door badges, and exhuast in the '00+ cars, the back bumper was different as well in earlier years. Why are you having trouble telling what your car is? DId you buy it used and someone tried to turn their SE into a GT, or what? If it has the 2.4, there's no reason you can't convert your car to a GT.

rear bumpers on the 00-02 are the same all around... SE's did come with the 2.4L as an option, much like the 95-99 cavalier LS 4drs, and 2drs.
GT's have lower suspension, bigger swaybars, AC, cruise, fogs, tilt standard. side mouldings/skirts are 'wide body' different front bumper.

The 02 GT's had the 2.4 Twin Cam or the 2.2 Ecotec, and the 03+ GT's only came with the 2.2 Ecotec.

Umm, we're talking about 2000's. Otherwise you're absolutely correct.
