Move the Sport Compact show back to Carlisle.

Carlisle Sport Compact Show

And asking to let the cops allow you to break the law is not going to fly.

Some criminals trashed some hotel rooms, and a police car.

Carlisle says only a grassroots effort will get it moved back, so we need people to add to that thread, "Move it back to Carlisle"

Doesn't matter where it is, theres ALWAYS trouble, Carlisle, Harrisburg, State College...Doesn't matter. There will always be trouble when irresponsible kids think they can street race, bounce the rev limiter and start crap with everyone else, it always escalates. Grassroots Effort? Need more than that to bring it back, how about a maturity increase...

there always has to be bad apples some where to ruin stuff

we get people breaking the law at a weekly show here , and those of us that dont break the law tell the cops to enforce the law 110% , they keep giving reasons they cant or wont , which defeats the purpose of them being there

the 1 big thing they keep saying is the people that run it dont want to scare the people away , and its the idiots that scare them away

if i was acting like a dumb-ass and got caught id expect to get smaked with someting , how hard of a smack depends how bad it was , but id expect something

The organization of the show this year makes me not want to come back anyway.

Well at Carlisle the show is done in a professional mannor because they have the proper Carlisle Staff there, and a proper facility. The Grassroots effort to move it back only needs you to add a line to that thread so Carlisle knows they want it back.

Carlisle puts on great shows at their own facility. Please ask them to move it back in that thread

I used to think we were bad at shows and some of the things we did were crasy. Sat I went to syracuse after the nationals(a large show for classic cars) I dont evan know where to begin. It got so out of hand there was almost a riot on the streets several times!!! Burn outs and races from every green light every time the lights turned green. Peaple 3 lanes deep racing from street lights and smoking tires. The streets were lined with probably close to a thousand peaple. They closed off thompson because they new it would get crasy(it does every year) but everyone just moved to another street(where I was, dint know the name). A few hours later about 15 cops came in and it took them about an hour to get the roads blocked off then cars would sit there and roast their tires in front of them. The fire dept came in, I guess the were going to hose the roads down to prevent what ever?? It was absolutly insane and dosnt compare to the @!#$ that ive seen at sport compact shows but then again ive never been to hin and ive heard thats pretty nuts.

Yeah our club isn't really feeling going back to M2 next year. Very unorganized this year. People there didn't seem to have a clue what was going on. One dude that was escorting cars in, completely foul attitude, had me and a few my guys riled up. All we were trying to do was park as a club, and he came off as if he owned the lot we were in. Vendors were very weak except for the one, but they really didn't have any vendors which was a huge disappointment. People that came down with us and the club brought a good chunk of money for vendors and there wasnt really any. Dunno, unless they venture back to Carlisle, I don't see us attending anymore, unless somewhere either better then Carlisle, or equal.
