Good SELLERS and BUYERS on J-Body.org Better than you'd think.........
Thursday, January 17, 2008 9:03 PM
1st off I am posting this because I always read "I got ripped off" and topics about people being "SCAMMERS" and whatnot. I feel that communication is the KEY to a Successful Transaction anywhere, not just on the internet.

I have had NUMEROUS Deals go down right here on the .org and NOT ONCE had a problem. The key for me is I think PHONE # exchanges. Talking to the person instead of relying on email and PM's is FAR SUPERIOR in my opinion.

Here is a list of what I've either sold or bought here on the .org the past 6 or so years.

Sold/Traded
My LS Sport Bumpers - Chad Gillies (cadwz24) Picked up from my house,
2 8W7's - Jeffrey Kregiel (KARNAGE) - Drove to INDIANA to meet up
Eibach Sportlines - Jay Van (Qwik2k2z24) - HOOKED HIM UP!

Bought
Pro Stock Spoiler - Karo - DELIVERED TO MICHIGAN PERSONALLY!!
Turbo Sport Hood - Ben Kregiel (tabs) - Drove to WV to pick it up
RK CF Radiator shroud - Ian Lacey - Drove to his house to pick up
Air Ride - Adam Garceau (Garsnow) Local friend of mine.
RK CF Tail light filler - Ken (Ken96z) - Mailed it to me in PERFECT condition!
Front AIR RIDE struts - Joe Schulte - Drove to K-Zoo to pick up

EVERY transaction I've done on the .org had Phone Convos involved with the exception of Ken96Z I believe. Everyone was awesome to deal with and I think if we did not have the .org to NETWORK our Hobby I would not have some of the thing I have and would have paid more for the rest.

I just wanted to shine some good light on the .org and it's members for once. REMEMBER, COMMUNICATION helps A LOT!

silver2200cav - Koni Yellow and Ebiach Sportlines ( $500) brand new never installed just like listed
Mr. Pute - Black Corner Housings ($30) great condition just like he said, and quick shipping

Then of course we have the regular retailers:

i've bought from:

Kevin Bordeaux (kevin5bordeaux) - Saint Louis, Missouri: Secret Cams (western Union-150.00)
Paul Cetor (kikinz24) - OHIO: JE Forged Pistons, Eagle Rods, H.O. IDI COVER ( Western union-750.00)
Greg B (jersey devil) : Billet lever, and spring boots (paypal-20.00)

2 could have got me good since i western unioned and didn't paypal, but NO problemo...great sellers! Although i wouldn't recommend western union as you could screw yourself.....i took a big chance and it payed off...

I'm Also in the middle of a group purchace with Mike Davis (MD- LD9), and he's been great and helpful with alot of stuff on jbody, as well as BOOSTED ( JMdecals.com!), who has patiently been waiting for me to order my decals from him...

That's just in the last month, and i haven't had a single problem with anyone!

Getting a phone number is a very good idea but still not a fail safe way. My best advice is to be alert for any red flags and to try to never leave yourself in a vulnerable position. (Eaier said than done when you are the buyer though.)

But ya I still owe this girl in philly a fist sandwich if I ever see her for ripping me off 250 for a bumper on ebay. The best part is she had just joined here at the same time and posted some items for sale. Luckily When I posted about her ripping me off it stopped a few people on here who were about to buy from her in their tracks. Noone else got ripped off on here by her and she left the site right after. Many thanks to the good ole JBO lynch mob for running her out of here.

Not to mention the fact that my house has been a meeting point for multiple transactions/exchanges.

for example: Front AIR RIDE struts - Joe Schulte - Drove to K-Zoo to pick up

It was good to see you yesterday James, & Joe too.

personally, I've lost a lot of faith in the classifieds on here, though there was a time when i thought VERY highly of them. just this fall i got screwed out of $240 from a member on here. i have also had 2 scammers on there try and do the 'oh ill send you the money order for more than the item is worth and then you reimburse the shipping company' BS as well as another member screwed me by not sending the item i purchased, but luckily i stopped payment on the money order before he could cash it.

on the $240.00 screw job i DID have contact with the seller via phone, msn messenger, pm's on here.. emails, you name it we had a convo through it. but i still got royally screwed over, i even brought it to the cops and they told him to send me the money or go to jail, he called me and said he would be sending it by Christmas, nothing has came, and its not going to.

i believe firmly that if you do not see the person posting on a regular basis, or if you cannot get people to vouch for a person on here as a seller or if you do not personally know them, then the deal should never take place. it's far too risky IMO.

All the people who purchased my coil conversions were awesome buyers.... I will admit it took a bit longer on some of them to ship out but they were patient and the coils got to there homes

allot of the problem is people believe that because their on a j-body site that another j-body guy wont screw them over, when in reality thre are just as many bad people on here as their are in life. just because someone owns a cavalier doesnt make them a good person.

not a lot of transactions here for me but here goes;

Bought;
mike Wiegand (seamlessZ24) rims & tires-drove to meet up with him outside of cleveland
Jay Van (Qwik2k2z24) stock bumper-met him at GLC in a torrential downpour late at night
Jay Van (Qwik2k2z24) WW Big mouth front-picked up at his house

Traded;
Dan Sanders (DubDuece18s) traded Amp for exhaust and swapped miscellaneous interior pieces-in my buddies driveway

Sold;
Dan Sanders (DubDuece18s) rear STB-he picked up at my buddies place, installed in driveway

I believe that is it for .org members with 0 problems, also no issues with Car Customs, A+ Performance, & Gravana Tuning

same here. got my z24 bumper from him and shortly after that i found out he ripped a bunch of people off.

Haven't had a bad experience otherwise. Bought and traded parts with SpeedRacerZ. Traded parts with SonicZ. Bought parts from Meckster. Those are the main JBO names I remember off hand. Also bought/traded/sold alot parts to local WI members that are part of the WI GM-Tuners car club and most are members on here.

Sad thing about Scott is that it wasn't just our community he stole a lot of money from, he moved onto the GTP community and @!#$ over a lot of them, and then to the Evo community.

I truly hope he rots in hell.

<3 Juicy James for buying those badass struts!
