I was watching some videos over at ExpertVillage.com,
And I got to thinking.
Why don't we start a J-Body video library for common J-Body work?
Video on stuff like;
Removing the interior, making clear corners, installing body kits, ect
I'm sure theres a few Jbody's out there with video camera's who could donate video's.
Just an idea.

Link it to youtube, and you now have low bandwith usage on the JBO side.
That sounds cool, but personally... I have always founf well taken pictures and very understandable text to be more than enough.
my thought is any pics in stickies get stored. alot of the stickies use pics to display info but alot of them ended up losing connection.
Nope, quite a few stickies with dead images in em...
It's a good idea but 80% of the members would still ask and not even look at the video's and more than likely ignore them like they do with the stickies.

Sounds like a great idea! Good for complicated things, like showing methods of removing awkward screws/bolts etc.

If the Videos take up to much bandwith, then a 'how to' section with detailed descriptions and pictures could be possible if somebody was willing?

Well i say if somebody is willing, but thinking about it everybody could participate if they have a job they want to share how to do with everyone then they can do a write up add pictures. That way its not one person doing all the work... if you understand me lol.

if people just searched in the right forums for what they are looking for they will find their answers. there are alot of write-ups on here, you just have to search for them.

Im personally fond of that idea, but it probably wouldn't turn out well. We have the write ups on fibreglassing and painting, but those are REALLY, REALLY big things in the long run, that people can do them selves.. The majority of owners are likely not willing to do major jobs in their driveways like installing suspension and stuff like that.
Im not saying that all arent willing, because form what ive seen around here, Most of the members probably laugh at dealerships unless it comes to things that only a dealer can do, but this doesnt apply to joe-blow that comes in wanting to know how to do this and that..
Basically, I dont want to see people put in all the effort to establish a whole section of forum dedicated to step by step pictures and written instructions only to have the people that would actually really need those instructions, realize the job may be out of their league and take it to a shop.
Again, If there was a section i would definitely use it, and possibly even throw in a write up or two when I get my car, but is it really worth all the effort??
