To all my friends here, the time has come...
Thursday, February 16, 2006 10:11 PM
I've had a nice run with JBO. I've met some really cool people, had some good times, and seen a lot of projects get completed that I contributed to. While at times I would like to keep with J-bodies, I just can't make it feasible anymore. It's time for me to move on in my life and my area of business and expertise. I'm moving on to another project, which some of you know, is an MKIV Toyota Supra TT. For a car that I have always wanted, the idea suddenly became possible a few weeks ago. So I have started investing, I'm working out funds and look to be picking up one in the next few months most likely. I'll still check up on the boards most likely, I just won't be whoring up the performance and boost forums daily with the same old stuff over and over again. Thanks all!

-1996 2.4 liter + Turbo + Built motor + Torco + More boost = Lots o' Power
-2000 Mustang GT + 2004 Cobra motor, Whipple 2.3 supercharger,

30 psi? na i'm not thinking that much. i'm buying a bone stock car, reconditioning it first and just making sure all the basic maintenance is done. i want to get used to the car first. and then over time, it'll go through the initial stages of BPU, with hard pipe kit, maybe a front mount later, DP exhaust, intake. and eventually, i'll probably make it to BPU ++ with a nice valvetrain setup, i'll go single turbo if the twins give out, and if money flows good, it'll be an HKS V-Pro car. I don't really plan on seeing lower than high to mid 10s with it, even after its completely paid off.

LOL. I can just see my future forum sig now. "2JZ? Noooo sh*t!" lol

In my recent research, I will probably end up swapping the 2JZ TT head for one of the N/A heads because they flow a lot better. Initially, the MAP system has to be modified because the car pulls timing if it senses over 11 psi for 3+ seconds. Can't have that now can we?

Well Abe it looks like the Heartland JBO is slowly fading away with all of us buying new projects! I'm gonna look at the truck tomarrow (and prob buy it) so I have something to race ya with, well at least when we're going in a straight line, I know you'll have fun trying to keep up with me...

Later,
Skinny J

Yea no joke there. The cavalier is the opposite of sex appeal.

As far as keeping it for a daily driver, it's becoming too much for a daily driver, plus I need the money to put the downpayment on the Supra.

I wish I could stay, but then I'd just be one more non-Jbody driving guy on here giving tech advice. Time to move on to SupraForums.

Wow, I'm listening to Blue and Yellow by The Used while reading this thread. Music fits the mood I guess.

Good luck and it was great to have someone as knowledgeable as you on the .org. We need more people with more than a 16 year olds intake and exhaust knowledge.

Good luck with your future endeavours and never forgot your J!

P.S. - you know to post pics of your Supra, right??? haha
