lol he bought lambos off me and everything went good?
Just so you know,
eBay is amazing at cancelling accounts/ punishing those that do not pay. If you contact their dispute resolution team they will have this situation handled in <24hrs.

He hadn't responded to any of my emails in the past 3 weeks, but now he claims that he sent a check after I turned him into ebay.
He also claims that his bank says that the check has been cashed. I told him that he needs to verify the address that he sent it to, because I have received nothing. He also sent a check, and I do not take checks, only Money Orders.

Generally speaking, if you cancel a money order and it is cashed legitimately by the person it is made out to, then YOU are on the hook for the money.
If it turns out to have been fraudulently cashed, then that's a different story. But if you make a money order out to me and then you cancel it... and then I cash it... then you're on the hook.

there has been a HUGE increase in fraudulent money orders (ask anyone who does a lot of business on ebay) and banks are very sketchy about accepting money orders, the only way i can cash them at my bank is to have it clear first before they deposit it... (and they can be cancelled)
yingling, before you run your mouth, you should get the story. i get the runaround from that guy, nothing but shaky and suspicious stories from him. but it worked out, although im very much unsatisfied.
about this guy, how does him not showing up make me a moron.
bomex03, seen you around and your a good guy, find out wtf is up with your friend. i want some damn gas money!!! find out why the hell he didnt show up to the lehigh mall that night.

On the subject of money orders:
If the buyer uses a postal money order, the seller can take it to the post office and exchange it for case, after waiting a couple of minutes for the clerk to check it against a master list of stolen/canceled money orders. Works great for the seller, but the buyer has no recourse other than a mail fraud investigation.
