Ok I just wanted to put this together for the people who don't know how to install the ls lip on factory bumper w/o a lip, or for those who have broken clips. I did my install and removed all the clips from the lip that I got from speedracerZ.
Tools I used were
1) Demel with cutting disc for tab remaval from lip/trimming
2) Sharpie for marking the holes on the ls lip to the bumper to which it will be mounted.
3) A drill with a drill bit that is the same size as the zip ties being used
4) 6 black zip ties
5) 2 self tapping screws
6) Flat head Screw Driver
7) 7mm socket and ratchet
8) 10mm socket
Step 1
Remove the screws from the wheel well liners that go into the bumper. Once that is done there are plastic push rivits that hold the middle of the bumper on. These are located in the space that your hood latch is. Simply use a flat head screw driver to pop the middle up and then you can pull the plastic plugs.
Once that is all done pull the wheel well liners out and right under the edge of your coner lenses there are 2 10 mm bolts that go from the bumper to the fenders. Once these are removed the bumper easily slides off the front, and your car will now look like this.
Step 2
Find a solid area to put the bumper on and flip it upside down. I used 2 garbage cans to set my bumper on. The you want to take your lip and place it on the bumper making sure the little body line in the lip is centered with the one on the bumper.
Once you get the lip centered you will notice that there is 6 holes on the lip. Mark these holes with your sharpie and put a another mark on the other side.
Then when your done marking all your holes Remove the lip from the bumper and use your drill to drill your holes in the all the spots you marked. ( I used a small Spade bit that was the same size as the zip ties I had. ) But any drill bit that is of similar size to your zip ties will work. When Your done it should look like this
Step 3
Ok now you want to line the lip up with the holes that you have put in your bumper. Grap your zip ties and lace them through the lip and back out the 2nd hole you dilled in the bumper.
It should look like this.
Once you get all 6 of your zip ties laced though the lip and your bumper pull them tight.
Make sure that when you put them through the lip and bumper that they look like this when pulled tight.
Step 4
Now I know what your thinking at this point....but Jeff what about the ends of the lips? They still need to be secured. Well at this point I reninstalled the bumper and wheel wells. Then I simply Used the self tapping screws to secure the lip to the wheel wells giving you a snug fit. Once your done it should look like this.
Now once I got it put back together I noticed my lip was not snup to the bumper on one side and when I took it apart again I noticed that one of the Tabs needed a little more grinding so it would fit right. Here is a pic of the tab I needed to mod a little more.
Once that tab was moded a little more it fit like a glove. I hope this helps answer some more questions about the lip install. If there are any questions or comments go right ahead.
Thanks for looking.
Oh and one more thing......I'm not rolling around with the yellow lip on the red base cav......i'm not super man.......
