I know a few people on here have done it but I didn't really know what to search for -- so what parts are involved in the conversion?

Actually I should mention that I want to swap straight to a 03-05 Streetfire rear bumper as opposed to stock. From what I can gather the trunks are the same on all 2 door models for all years. The hardware difference seems to lie in the plate frame and backup lights mounted next to it. Will the rear bumper match up to the other pre 03-05 panels ok? And will I need new tail lights?

All you need to change is the trunk bezel (the black plastic piece) to the 03+, tail lights, and rear bumper... all of it will bolt up no problems.

Correct...everything bolts right up.

ok so you just need the tails the trunk part...you dont need the hole trunk lid do you? and the rear bumper? what about the wireing how does that match up plug and play?

You need the tails, the applique (plastic part on the trunklid), and the rear bumper. All the wiring is the same so yes its just plug and play. Everything should fit perfectly.

how much do you thik that will run me$$ i know its hard to say cause places charge more or less than other just like under 300CND?

The appliques can be pretty expensive, at least in the States. A few people got lucky, getting them for aroun $50 USD or so, but I ended up paying about $250. Dealer's will ask upwards of $600 for just the applique, so get as much as you can from junkyards.

i have 2 of those center pieces but i they are 95-99, idk if they will fit.

Doing this as well...is it just the bumper cover that's needed or the whole assembly?

Alright, I have the bumper and filler panel. Is there a certain path the reverse light wiring should take to get into the trunk?
