Hey, I have the pics to my exhaust installs. I used the "camaro" setup as well. I think its a very good way to do dual setups without sacrificing performance. I've been a member of the JBO for a long time , like when it first started. But I've never really posted pictures that much. Ok here it is.
this is the pic of the setup with Pacesetter headers, high flow cat, dynomax muffler(turbo), and gibson tips. The turbo sounds ok, not too loud but its a smooth deep tone.
Heres the pic of the car with the Bomex rear taken out. As you can see my old RKSPORT dual is breaking apart. You can see the holes on the pipes for the exhuast. My muffler fell off of the exhaust line leaving the tips hanging there.
the mechanic told me to just go home because the install will take him a day because he has other stuff to do. When I came back to pick up my car, i notice he placed the muffler right under the spare tire area. I guess i forgot to menton it to him to remember to place it near the outside of the rear. PLacing it under the spare tire part would just make the muffler lower and I'm afraid I might hit it when goign over a bump.
The car is almost done as I am on the process of putting on the drift kit. I need to order more parts and redo the entire interior. It will be custom decked out with electronics. Also I will be adding a Carputer in there as well.
that's a huge spoiler. i like it.
You like what? the spoiler or the exhaust setup? Yea its the APR D-spec spoiler drag spoiler. It only looks big at the bottom view. but it looks skinny when you stand up and look at it. I was bending down when I was taking a shot of the bottom rear of the car so yea, it looks big.
i like teh exhaust. hows it sound? get and sound clips? Also i dont think the muffler being low is ur first concern.. i think for ur muffler to get hit.. a peice of ur bodykit will get it far worse.. question were those clamps just temp for them to hold it in place and weld or are those clamps still there?
wish i had pics of my old setup, we placed the muffler at the back of the spare well but at a slight angle to make room for pipes. ill look for pics.
dude take off that spoiler it makes like the cavy is a ricer

Dude its his car and did not ask for opinions on his spoiler. Whats the point of posting crap like that if you dont have something to add to the subject at hand? not being an ass to ya man, just that that makes this place suck sometimes is all.
Looks nice...kinda wish I got duals when I got mine redone, but I have enough problems figuring out where I can/can't go with one side hanging lower. And a body kit...yeah, that just ain't gonna work for me. BTW, I just got it lowered so I have an excuse.
I've seen a few with this and they all look nice...keep up the good work.
Ditch the clamps on the hanger by the tips, and have them weld the hangers to the piping for a cleaner look. If that is not an option, at least turn then upside down to hide the ends and nuts.
Exsaust looks fantastic, but the picnic table must go.

I give up...
i'm buying a VW those people love trees, so they should love eachother too... "Andy"

That is a very nice setup. I like how you had the muffler angled. It really looks nice with the bumper on and the muffler tilting downward like that. I should have thoght of that. But its neat.
thoughthardtocomeupwiththis:
Yea you are right about the U-clamp. But he use some sort of mechanism to hold that clamp and looks like the clamp can only go one way. The mehcanism looks kinda neat. Its kinda have a little torque that angles the tips. Like say, I want to move my tip rightward or leftward. It isn't so bad. I won't worry too much about the clamp. The car will be too low for anyone to notice.
ShortHand:
Thank you. Yea the park bench IS goign to go. My new kit is going to be the Drift Kit. That is the reason for the dual setup. Although I'm thinking about upgrading the tips to a much bigger diameter. Like a 3" or 4" tip for say.
Kevin:
Yea, I'm from BR. I go to LSU. I've meet up with a few fellow JBO members in Louisiana also. I knew a few from new orleans as well. But as for me and another guy, his name is Dustin. We both go to LSU. I'm thinking about starting a club or something. You're welcome to join.
Oh and by the way, someone asked about sound clips to the muffler. Well you can go to Dynomax's webpage and they have sound clips to all of their mufflers with differetn installs on different cars. The soundclips made it easier to know which muffler I want to go with. heres the link:

You're def. on the right track with that setup...I love having the muffler sideways. Not a lot of people have done it around me (probably none, actually) and once I finalize it's "looks" I'll really be happy. Hope you're happy with the way it turns out!
Nice only thing is the location. I know most have it as above. I know one reason is the location of the fuel filter which is going to be right behind the muffler and may be come a pain to move. Not sure about sway bar issues.
I remember you car. It has been a while.

That looks nice, I'm thinkin of doing a dual as well, but I gotta find the time lol.
I have a quick question about this install. I just recently bought a flowmaster 40 dual muffler and what wondering if i can do this kinda of install, since the idiot who sold me the part said i can do it but when it came in it had a single inlet and dual oulet but the inlet and outlet arent next to eachother they are on opposite sides.. Im curious to know if anyone has any details on this muffler and how to install it or should i sell it and pick up a diff muffler? thanks
look real nice! can't wait to see it with the new kit on.

if its a dual outlet, then i dont see why/how you couldnt run dual exhausts....
As far as i know Dave who run JBO was the first with this set up. I may have been one of the few that had it at one time. I have had mine for about 3 years now.
Here is picture of Daves set up. This is what i have as well but i don't have an underside picture of my car. I use the Camara Tips in black.
You can check my car domain to see what mine looks like. Those who are premium can see what my exhaust looks like from the attached picture
