Noone sells the headlights pre painted..YET... its a do it yourself deal.. i didnt even bake the set i got. just a razor and cut the seal all around and the cover popped off.. then cut the remaining sealant out, taped off the headlight, sanded(did some wetsanding too for a glass feel), painted, put together and resealed..

here is how you do it
1. set your oven at 175 preheat and set them in for 10 min
2. get a razor knife gently cut along the seal you will see the tip of the knife poking through the glass
3. take a flat head screw driver and gently pry apart dont pull to hard or you will crack the glass also you will here a slight cracking sound that is just the glass prying off
4. once the headlight is apart mask of the inside light
5. chose your color of paint and spray .
6. put the glass back on the housing and get some clear Ext. caulking and seal back up.
This should only take about 45 min per head light to do a good job and not half @$$ing it if ya know what I mean. Also if you have any ? Email me at Jason.whited@insightbb.net GOOD LUCK!!!!!!!

flat black matches the corners that u posted in the pic.. i know Kevin(onebadz24) used flat black.. when i did my test one i used Semi-gloss.. Pic is below
Don't mind the eyelid.. i had some krylon left over from my interior conversion and wanted to see what it would look like with eyelids.. i decided against the eyelids tho.. I am using flat black for the real thing, but thats just so u can see how er looks like in semi gloss(i wanted to see for myself how it looked also)

if u look u can kinda notice the difference in color on the headlight and the corner..

I'm doing mine tomorrow. 1)You use an xacto knife to pry the lens apart from the housing, 2)then you sand down the parts you want sanded so the paint will bond better to the surface. 3)Tape and mask off the parts you are not painting. 4)and give it a couple of sprays. 5)After that is done, let em dry for a lil bit, I'll say a half hour to be safe. 6)Once dried, use some type of silicone adhesive (You do not want water or moisture getting inside of your headlights), and go around the back side of the lense with the adhesive. 7)Put the lense back on the housing, and use a few very thick rubberbands to hold the lens on the housing, or else the housing will just fall off. It may take two to three hours for the adhesive to completely set up and dry.

Phranny19 the fogging is due ti a leaking seal find out where the leak is and use some clear silicone to seal it up .

You do NOT need an oven or to do any prying! Trust me.

Just cut the seal with a straight edge razor, gently pop the lense off once the seal is cut. Mask, then paint, preferably flat black. Unmask everything, make sure all is good, and pop lense back on. Run silicone along the cut you made previously working it in with your finger to ensure a good seal.

That's the trick, I just redid the set I have after trading my old one's to a friend. Took me 45 mins?

Plus I've done a million of these damn things now :p.

Another tip is to do it all in the same spot, as change of temperature can cause moisture issues, etc.

i dont mind at all i didnt put mine in the oven at all. I used a a razor like joe said then ran silicone where i cut it to seal it back up. Fairly easy and looks much better.

ol. io got one question for you all, i understand everything but this, are you suposed to pull the housing off of the mounting thing? or just put it all in the oven. the aiming things look like the ball at the end will pop out of the plastic cup on the housing but i dont want to break anything, that would get expencive. thanks

you can put the whole thing in I did but like they said above just use a razor knife I just put mine in to soffen the sealent knife went through like butter. you dont have to put them in the oven if you dont want too.

well the funny thing is i didnt hear back last night on that one so i said @!#$ it and did exactly that, put the whole dam thing in the oven and busted out the razor knife
just make sure you go back and take most of the exess glue off so that you can seal it back up later
