I'm looking to get my windows tinted. Though I don't want the dotmatrix to make the tint not stick. What's the best way to go about getting the tint to look mint all of the time?
Theres a few options:
Cover it in vynil (which is probably what I'm going to do, seeing as you cant see through the dots in the mirror anyway).
Sand the dots down before applying tint - havent seen the results of this myself, but it probably looks good.
Tint it regularly and when its warm out, bust out the squeegee and rub the air out. They did this to my mom's sunfire, and it looks flawless - but it sure wasn't before they did it.
A good tint shop will tint over it with no problem.

my tint shop here in sacramento are known for the way they take care of those damn things. they use a type of paint and spray it over them after they are done with tinting the window. looks and works absolutely great. good luck with what you find.

I had this problem and they fixed it by adding a strip of vinyl over the dots, worked like a charm...good if you don't mind not being able to see out of that part of your window.

The tint place I went to put a black vinyl strip over the dot matrix on the inside of the back window. looks good... I got a dark tint (20
in the rear though to help hide the strip... not sure if it would look good if you went lighter than that..
I would like to see a pic of these done...
The shop I went to put it over the dots and I do have a photo of it.
