Is it just me or do those car look 100 times better then the current imports that we have.
Those are some very nice cars.

it's not just you. style has gone by the wayside in recent decades.

Style is subjective... I can remember passing on an old toyota corolla HB because it looked nasty. I still don't like them, but the way those hachis are styled, it's not too bad

Personally, I LOVE the fact that a Lotus showed up to crash the party

I do however have a question:

What is it with some of the older JDM cars and the hood that's jacked up in the back??
Is it for cooling or cheap-ass reverse induction or something? Or is it a way for a body shop to piss off a customer?

If it's not network news, it's probably the truth getting out.

um...the first gen RX7 has a clamshell hood, dear.

Understood... but either way, I'm trying to wrap my head around why the back is kicked up like that... and RX-7's aren't the only ones that do that, I've seen it on other (admittedly older) JDM cars from Toyota and Nissan.

Also, unless they don't fully close the hoods at shows, I can't see why the backs of those hoods don't line up with the tops of the fenders.

they probably don't fully close them, since so many people like looking at the engines.

mine closed fully. *shrugs*
