With very little modding you can jam a 599cc engine into that 248cc space.
I raced a transplanted 250/600RR and WOW, the control is unreal(it had a 10 inch swing arm extension, and kustom inverted forks).
The bike was more fun then riding any 1000+.
9 out of 10 riders go to a 1000 for the sake of saying my d!ck is bigger. Most people never even use a 600 to its potential.
I guess I'm one of those 1 out of 10 people then. I bought an 06 R1 last Saturday. My first bike too. I bought it because I love the looks of it. Plain and simple. I wouldn't have cared if it was a 600, I just loved the looks. Just buy something you want and don't worry about what anyone else says.
^^ agree with this guy
Ive never ridden a bike, so i have no clue
However, if you wanna get the 250, go for it
Personally, as someone who would be afraid of going too fast or doing anything crazy, a 250 would meet my needs
Don't waste your time or money. My first bike was a Katana 600 and I was ready to upgrade after my first trip around the block.
